Côté France in Venice
218 Tampa Ave W, Venice, FL 34285
The French burger at Cote France is probably one of the best bites that I’ve had here in town. It's not on the regular menu, so call the restaurant first to see when it's available on specials. This is a specialty crafted burger with truffle oil and brie with lettuce and tomato on a sesame seed bun. This is the kind of burger that haunts your dreams because you simply need to taste it again!

Brewburgers

370 Commercial Ct, Venice, FL
Everyone loves Brew Burgers, after all, the name suggests that burgers is their main game! They definitely have a lot to choose from whether it’s a plain ol’ burger or one of their signature burgers that will take your breath away. Jason typically goes for the Alpine burger, which has mushrooms and swiss cheese. As for me, I tend to build my own but my brother swears by The “Maddy B.” This insane burger is topped with bacon and herb cheese and served between two grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun. This is only one of 6 monster burgers on the menu. You’ve got to try them all!

Cafe Evergreen

801 S Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, FL 34275
Slightly over the border into Nokomis is the wonderful Cafe Evergreen. Known for its vegetarian and healthy eating options, they also have phenomenal burgers. Jason loves the lamb burger, made in-house with fresh herbs, shallots and garlic and topped with a yogurt and dill sauce. I am quite partial to the bison burger, which is also made in-house with feta cheese, roasted red peppers, red onions and fresh herbs. Both are always cooked perfectly and have well-rounded flavors.

Chaz 51 Steakhouse

549 US-41 BYP, Venice, FL 34285
It may not be a traditional burger, but when I’m trying to watch my carbs, it’s the perfect low-carb burger in Venice. The sizzling naked burger is served in a cast iron skillet with sauteed onions, mushrooms and cherry peppers without a bun. It’s now made with the plant-based impossible meat. If you’re looking for a more traditional burger, that is also on the menu.

Blu Island Bistro

625 S Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34285
Blu Island Bistro has an ever changing Bistro Burger that always knocks it out of the park. One of my favorite burgers that they put together was an Angus patty with Boar’s Head Fried Ham, Fried Pickles, Arugula, Fresh Tomatoes and Honey Mustard on a Brioche Bun. It’s the kind of burger you either need silverware or a big mouth to eat! It was absolutely divine and I recommend getting their iced tea special of the day to go with it.
