With beautiful beaches, pristine weather and the tranquility our area has to offer, Venice is an ideal location to be thankful for everything in our lives. However, many of us hate the thought of slaving over a stove all day long just to serve a meal and then clean up all of those pots and pans afterward! If you need another reason to find a place to dine out for Thanksgiving in Venice, think about this. After everything that has happened this year, our local restaurants need our support now more than ever.

In recent years, it has become more common for families to go out for Thanksgiving rather than cook themselves. There is something appealing about letting someone else prepare, cook and clean up after such a large meal. It also allows every member of the family to be fully engaged in spending time together.

Another alternative is to consider ordering a fully prepared meal to bring home and serve. Leave the cooking to the professionals while enjoying them in the comfort of your own home with your family. You can even use Instacart to deliver anything else you may need for your celebration like disposable plates, silverware, drinks, etc. The best part? Nestled in on Historic Venice Ave, Cafe Venice is offering Thanksgiving carryout meals and a limited dine-in menu featuring turkey and all your favorite side dishes from 12:00-6:30 PM on November 24th. Reservations are Required, so make sure to call early!

If you choose to pick up a Thanksgiving To Go package, choose from either a family style carved turkey for 2 for $55 or a whole 16/20 lb turkey that serves 6-8 for $165. This includes stuffing with gravy and cranberry sauce. Then a choice of 2 sides: mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, baked brie, butternut squash or green bean casserole. Extra sides are available at $6 each with the option for custom orders. In addition, limited delivery will be available from 11 am to 3 pm.

Cafe Venice is offering either a Whole Pumpkin Pie for $16 or a Whole Key Lime Pie for $18!

Burgundy Square Cafe

Burgundy Square Cafe has been a staple in the community for years, offering fabulous meals at all hours of the day, including their award winning lobster rolls. This year, they will be open from 11-8 on Thanksgiving with a traditional Thanksgiving menu as well as other specials. Reservations ONLY so be sure to call (941) 451-8261 and get signed up!

Cote France

Cote France will be having a special menu offering for Thanksgiving for $52 per person. Starting with Butternut Squash Soup with chips of bacon and a main course of Turkey Breast with Mushroom sauce gratin dauphinois, green beans, house salad and brioche along with a Chocolate Dome for dessert.

What Restaurants Offer Takeout for Thanksgiving in Venice?

Yummies Donuts & BBQ

While Yummies is best known for their donuts and sweet treats, the “Yummy” is really in their BBQ. Nationally known through Food Network Magazine for their famous “Sticky Pig” (a pulled pork sandwich made with a cinnamon roll dropped in donut glaze as the bun), they offer a delightful spread of BBQ for your Thanksgiving table.

Choose from platters, turkey legs, Thanksgiving side dishes, smoked whole turkey or roasted turkey breast. You can also preorder their various donuts, breads, rolls and sweet treats!

In addition, they are also partnering with Yoder’s Amish Restaurant in Sarasota for the best pies for Thanksgiving. You can preorder either Dutch Apple Crumb, Pecan and Pumpkin Pie.

Ristorante San Marco

This is a full Thanksgiving Dinner plus an Italian Twist for 8-10 people for a total of $289. This menu is so similar to the Thanksgiving I grew up eating, I’m loving it!! It includes oven roasted turkey breast, lasagna, penne with a vodka sauce, glazed carrots, meatballs & Sausage, traditional stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade cranberry sauce, focaccia bread, salad, apple pie and pumpkin pie. You can also add on things like shrimp cocktail, caprese salad, stuffed banana peppers, tiramisu, buttered corn, stuffed flounder, or any of their house wines!

Papa’s offers fresh Amish turkeys that you can reserve in advance with a $15 deposit. They are available in a variety of size ranges for the whole bird or you can choose a bone-in turkey breast. They also have individual Thanksgiving dinners available.

Individual Dinners are $24.75 and include:
