The grey stuff is a famous treat from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. It is served to Belle by the Beast in the West Wing at dinner. Before the movie, there was a “grey glop” recipe that Disney used as inspiration for their own dessert. It is available at Disney Restaurants and Cafes all over the world but sometimes you just want it at home! The grey stuff is easy to make- you can purchase all of these ingredients at your local grocery store and whip it up in your own kitchen:

What Are The Ingredients and How Do They Mix Together?

Ingredients: Oreo Cookies, Vanilla Pudding (store-bought or homemade), Chocolate Syrup.

The oreo cookies serve as the base of this dessert. The chocolate syrup is used to make it top layer of chocolate, and the vanilla pudding is used as a creamy middle. You can even use Instacart to have it all delivered right to your door!

How long it takes to make this recipe?

Preparation time: 20-30 minutes or longer after chilling in the fridge.

It takes about 20 minutes for you to mold all of the oreo cookies into balls. After that, you’ll let them chill in the fridge while you make the pudding. After it’s all mixed together, you can pour it onto the oreo “crust” and top with chocolate syrup.

How to serve this recipe and what goes well with it

Serve: chilled or room temperature. Pairings: It is often served with berries, ice cream, chocolate sauce/syrup drizzled on top of it, or simply on its own.

The grey stuff is best served chilled on a cold autumn day. It’s rich, creamy taste is complimented well by all sorts of pairings- particularly ice cream or some kind of berry (strawberries, blueberries, etc.) or with the simple pearls like I did.

The grey stuff is delicious no matter how it’s made- so enjoy! Thank you so much for reading this article- perhaps your family will enjoy making their own version of the grey stuff after trying out this recipe.
